Bio

Courtney is as Associate Attorney with Michel | King. During her time in law school, Courtney worked as a Law Clerk for the firm. Throughout her time clerking, Courtney found her passion serving and advocating for employees in their employment law matters. Upon passing the Alabama Bar Exam, Courtney has started assisting in the representation of our clients through the litigation process. Courtney is eager and ready to confidently lead our clients to meet their employment law needs.

Originally from Winter Park, Florida, Court found her way to Tallahassee, Florida where she attended Florida State University. Courtney graduated magna cum laude from Florida State University, where she studied Family and Child Sciences, with a minor in Education. During her time at FSU, Courtney worked for campus recreation, served in various university and community organizations, and cheered on the Seminoles each week, including when they won the national championship in 2013.

In 2016, Courtney moved to Birmingham, Alabama to attend Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. During her time at Cumberland, Courtney was named to the Dean’s List, selected as a Scholar of Merit, and served as a Caruthers Fellow for the first-year legal research and writing program. Courtney also served as a Senior Associate Editor for the American Journal of Trial Advocacy. She participated in two (2) intra-school negotiation competitions, where she placed first and as a semifinalist. Courtney now calls Birmingham, Alabama home. During her free time, Courtney enjoys spending time outside, whether walking through Pepper Place or at Jemison Trail; checking out the newest workout classes and local restaurants; and spending time with her friends.
